Colonel Airth graduated from the University of Florida's School of Law in 1968. He began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for the 8th Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Airth gained extensive courtroom experience handling all phases of criminal cases from juvenile delinquency to first degree murder. He eventually became the Chief Assistant Public Defender. This trial work and the additional practice in the appellate courts served as an important foundation when he began primarily concentrating on civil litigation in 1973. Since then, he had developed expertise in the areas of insurance issues, personal injury and wrongful death.

Mr. Airth works with his son-in-law, David R. Terry, Jr. They continue their tradition of working on behalf of their clients to protect their interests and legal rights. Mr. Airth's legal associations and admissions include the American Bar, Florida Bar and Orange County Bar Associations. He regularly appears in the county and circuit courts and is admitted to the United States Middle District Court of Florida.

Mr. Airth was born in Lake City, Florida and was raised in Live Oak, Florida. He is married to Susan Everitt Airth. They have two daughters and three adorable grandchildren. An active member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in College Park, Mr. Airth has served on the Vestry (the governing body of the church) and has been a choir member since 1982. Other community involvement includes the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners.
